Pushkar is a town in the northeastern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs.

Ropeway started from 3rd May after CM of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje inaugurated it. The construction of a road surrounding the Savitri Hill has also been started. This road will be used for Parikrama around the temple and will be useful for pilgrims who do not want to go up to the temple.

 A ropeway is an convenient and affordable way to travel to hilly locations. The ropeway has been constructed at Savitri Mata Temple. With the help of this ropeway. The Passenger Ropeway System saves the pilgrims from the vigorous stiff climb of little more than 1100 steps and enables all pilgrims particularly old and disabled devotees to visit the Holy Temple in less than 6 minutes covering a distance of 720 Mtrs.

Beautiful Scene of Pushkar Lake, the Savitri Mata Ropeway gives a bird’s eye view of the overall town of Pushkar.

Every cable car is able to carry 6 passengers in one go. The fare is 73 rupees, for children, Cost will be of Rs. 73 for a one- way journey trip . This service available 7 Days in a Week and Timings  7.30 AM TO 7.30 PM

Dewas ropeway

Dewas is a city on the Malwa in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Dewas is known for Devi Chamunda temple and Devi Tulaja Bhavani temple situated on a 300-foot hilltop, Tekri. A broad flight of stone steps leads to two shrines to the goddesses, Chamunda Mata and Tulja Bhavani Mata. Numerous other temples spread over Tekri can be explored on foot. Ascending from the junction of two national highways, the cable car reaches up to the temple hence providing the best mode of travel for pilgrims, tourists and locals.

Namachi Ropeway

Namchi is the capital of the district of South Sikkim. The appellation Namchi means Sky (Nam) High (Chi) in Sikkimese. It is one of the popular places of pilgrimage in South Sikkim and among the must visit Namchi Tourist Places. The Namchi Monastery, Ralang Monastery and Tendong Hill are local Buddhist pilgrimage centres.

The name Samdruptse Hill literally translates to the ‘Wish Fulfilling Hill’, as the hill is revered by many local monks, who worship the Hill, believing that the Hill is a dormant volcano, and only praying can keep the volcano dormant. There is a monastery under the statue with a beautiful interior and a very tranquil atmosphere. A grand copper prayer wheel adorns the entrance of the monastery. Inside there is a huge prayer hall where monks chant hymns during prayer time. It also has various paintings, historic sculptures, artifacts, and statues.

This place is considered to be an important tourist attraction; this ropeway was built on a difficult terrain towards the dual aim of providing eco-friendly and energy efficient system of transportation, and the development of tourism. It has proved to be a very popular part of the itinerary of visitors to Sikkim.

Ropeways Tickets, Timings and Price:

One has to spend Rs.150 per person for a two- way journey from Samdruptse to Rock Garden.

For children, the cost will be of Rs.75 for a two- way journey trip from Samdruptse to Rock Garden.

From PWD Bungalow to Rock Garden, Rs. 300 per person for Two way and Rs. 150 for children

From PWD Bungalow to Samdruptse, Rs. 400 per person for Two way and Rs. 200 for children

Mata Vaishno Devi

Vaishno Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mahalakshmi, located in Katra at the Trikuta Mountains within the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.The main cave temple is the biggest pilgrimage attractions in the region. Housing Goddess Mata Adi Shakti, the Vaishno Devi temple is the biggest tourist attraction in the trip.

The ropeway inaugurated by the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Satyapal Malik would cost devotees INR 100 per person. The goddess Shakti is the presiding deity of this 100 foot long cave temple. Ropeway would reduce the time taken to reach Bhairo Valley from Vaishno Devi Bhawan to 5 minutes from 3 hours.

 A ropeway is a mode of transport in which special types of carriers are suspended from, or simply attached to, an overhead rope to facilitate the transfer of materials, goods or passengers, from one point to another. The rope is stretched between, and supported at, the end-point stations using anchors.

The Vaishno Devi ropeway helps the pilgrims reach the Bhairo Mandir within 5 minutes which earlier used to be difficult due to its steep climb. It also provides a picturesque view of the Bhairo Valley. It is an imported Fixed Grip Bi-cable Jig Back Double Reversible Passenger Ropeway system has been installed jointly with M/s. Garaventa A.G., Switzerland on behalf of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, J&K State.
